Border Collie Club of GB Champ Show - March 2009

This was run in conjunction with their annual agility show and was an extremely long day for all entered in both. No placings at all for Sunnie or Skye in their breed classes but no dishonour as the top breeders all attend this show. Sunnie's Veteran Class was the last of the day and in total we were away from home for 13 hours!

Huntingdonshire Canine Society - November 2008

The only good thing about this show was that Hayley qualified for Richmond Junior Handling Semi-finals again - for the 5th year running - not that it felt like much of a success as the Judge didn't seem to know what she was doing - which was confirmed by the final placings.
2nd Place

Richmond Champ Show - September 2008

Sunnie and Hayley placed in Veteran Bitch

We drove all the way to Guildford and missed the Junior Handling Semi finals as the officials decided enough junior handlers had arrived to go ahead. This - eventhough the traffic was horrendous because the parking fields had flooded and there was nowhere to park. I was furious - so it was just as well we had some success that day in the breed classes!
Hayley handled Sunnie in Veteran Bitch and they came 4th.....
Reserve
Hayley & Skye coming 4th

Also Skye, again handled by Hayley, winning the Reserve in Post Graduate (we missed a Crufts qualification by 1 place)

not sure I like this standing still lark!

I handled Jake for the first time ever in Yearling Dog and he came second in a class of 2, beaten by his nephew!

Judge Kelly Shafique said; "Black and white, good head and neck, narrow in front, hindquarters correct, moved ok from behind".

2nd Place
The first highlight of my day, he managed a 2nd again in Maiden Dog (out of 4). He drove round the ring like a bullet out of a gun, I don't think I've ever had to run so fast. I was so glad the Ring was big and roomy enough for him!
2nd Place
hayley and skye east anglian bcc

The second highlight came when Hayley entered Junior Handling (6 to 11 years) with Skye and had no competition which was a shame for her. However, the Judge, Kathy Frawley, made her work for her rosette and topped it off by giving Hayley a Trophy too!

'A big thank you to East Anglian BCC for the encouragement and compassion that they always show the young handlers, it makes so much difference to them (and us)'.

Huntingdonshire Canine Society Open Show - Saturday ? October 2007

Skye behaved quite well in the Post Graduate Class and managed to get a 4th Place, if only she'd keep that tail down!

We put Sunnie in the Open Class so Hayley could use her for Junior Handling and she came 5th Place

Hayley and Sally-Anne both entered Junior Handling; Hayley with Sunnie and Sally-Anne with Skye. Neither of them were placed, which was grossly unfair (on Hayley's part at least)! I'm determined to keep my good sportmanship and will say no more on this subject.

monty sept 07 Monty came with us too and was handled by Heidi, his owner. Bless him, he had a wonderful time but didn't get placed (tail trouble again)!Someone will notice his charms soon I'm sure, we'll try again after a bit of training!

Sally-Anne and Skye had a good time in the Junior Handling Class. Skye had well and truly had enough and she wanted out. Good job Sally-Anne has a sense of humour!

hayley and skye

Skye also came Reserve (4th) with Hayley in Any Other Colour Bitch (other than black/white and tri).

Dunstable & District Canine Society - Easter Monday 2007

dunstable junior handling

This Show was a total disaster for us. Skye had seriously lost her coat but we went along so Hayley and Sally-Anne could have their go in Junior Handling. The Junior Handling was scheduled to take place at 9.30am, instead of the usual lunch time break. So we arrived with no time to settle two hyper collies and it all went down hill from there really. Both Hayley and Sally-Anne were unplaced and very disappointed.
