Information on our current litter

Update 16/07/2011 - I can't believe this time next week they'll all be gone. Emmy has found her forever home today so all the pups will be going by the weekend. They are a handful now but I'm loving their antics, what will I do with myself when they're no longer here? They've taken to the chicken drumsticks and Dexter is the pup who eats his faster than everyone else, then tries to take someone elses and mayhem begins! The garden is looking a bit trashed too and we regularly find flower heads and/or petals dotted around. Their ears have started to stand up now as well, very comical. They are impossible to keep still so apologies for the photos but we had fun doing them so here goes >>>

Paddy Woody Polo & Emmy
Jamie & Dexter

Buddy is enjoying playing with them and regularly seeks out their company for a game of "How many puppies can I fit in my mouth at one time?!" Skye's had enough of them trying to feed from her but will play with them and Sunnie is very disgruntled that no one wants a wash anymore! Well I'm off to join the Girls and puppies on the lawn for a cuddle and how many times can we climb the guinea pig run! You would think poor Angus would be traumatised by it all but he's so used to our dogs he just sniffs them and eats the grass.

A note to pending puppy owners: do not waste money on expensive toys, empty plastic bottles, old sponges, egg boxes, plastic punnets and socks are all they want to play with. :-)

Update 08/07/2011 - everyone has come out of their shell big time this week and have turned into little demons. They've found every possible nook and cranny to explore, occasionally we have lost a couple on tour but have it down to a a fine art now. Nothing is safe anymore!!! I can't believe we've only got 2 weeks left with them, the time is flying now, I am going to miss them terribly when they leave. They've had their first taste of chicken drumsticks today, all went well until a certain puppy finished his before anyone else and decided he fancied another. They've also been wormed again - and they weren't impressed :-)

01/07/2011 - The pups are showing real personality and their individual characters are shining through. They are so much fun to have around but hard work too with constant cleaning, feeding, playing, cleaning, feeding, cuddles etc. I can't believe we only have another 3 weeks before they leave, it has gone so quickly and we shall all miss them terribly. Still, it is 3 weeks so I'm going for a puppy fix right now!

24/06/2011 - All the pups are eating well, they have really come out of themselves now and are a lot of fun to have around. They've experienced being outside on the grass and investigating the garden. They now happily drink water as well as milk and next week we will introduce cow's milk to their diet. They were also wormed again today, what fun that was lol!

17/06/2011 - Puppies have had their first taste of tripe, beef and chicken with vegetables and also tried some weebabix today. What a mess! They're putting on lots of weight and have truly found their legs now.

10/06/2011 - Puppies eyes are all open now and they've been wormed today, I'm not sure they enjoyed the experience very much and now look like they are wearing bright pink lipstick. New photos added below.

03/06/2011 - Skye continues to be an excellent mother, although she's getting fed up with not being allowed out for a walk or to train. We went on a car journey for half an hour and she cheered up, however, she went straight to her family to check on them when we returned.

27/05/2011 - Skye and Clay's pups were born today, Mum and pups doing very well, all happy and contented. We have 5 dogs (3 x black and white, 2 x blue and white) and 1 bitch who is black and white. All the pups have homes waiting for them.

Skye had Milo at 7.30pm and had whelped the following 4 by midnight. I wasn't convinced she had finished so stayed up with her until finally giving in at 4am. Low and behold she whelped Leo (Dexter) at some point between 4 and 6am when I woke up again to check on her.

Paddy
Woody
Polo
Pictured here stalking a bone, Paddy is such a cheeky puppy. He is Emmy's best friend and they always play together. He still insists on carrying things around in his mouth and pulling on trouser legs and dressing gowns..
Woody is still the most laid back of the bunch but when he decides its playtime, he really goes for it! He's so gentle and loves to hide behind the sofa to get some peace. He is very affectionate and loves to chase balls.
Polo is very affectionate and loves to have cuddles. He won't be pushed around by his brothers and will soon tell them off if he thinks they're going too far. His favourite toy is an empty plastic bottle which he chases round the living room after pouncing on it.
Paddy is going to a family in Yorkshire who will have a go at anything Paddy shows an interest in. He will certainly keep them entertained whatever he decides is the most fun.
Woody will be doing agility when he's older and keeping his family busy down in Surrey.
Polo is going to live at a Horse Stud Farm just down the road from us. His owner is already competing in agility and we look forward to meeting up with them at the local shows.
Emmy
Jamie
Dexter

'LIttle Em' is such a sweety. She's very playful but is happiest having a cuddle and looking down on her littermates from a great height!. She's fearless and figures things out very quickly. She's pictured here after taking the bone from Buddy, its nearly as big as her! This is one girl with attitude. Emmy might be available to the right home.

Jamie has been renamed due to commands in obedience sounding too similar to Shadow. He loves to meet new people and is still laid back. He has a sneaky tactic of grabbing the other puppie's tails, not that they seem to notice much. He loves his food and easily tucked in his chicken wing this week.

Dexter is a real live wire and enjoys nothing more than pulling his Mum's tail as she's walking. We often see him trotting past with a beard hanging from his mouth, poor Skye will be bald by the time he leaves. He is very cuddly though and will sleep happily upside down in your arms. We're glad to report Dexter realises he gains nothing from yelping his head off so has quitened down.
Emmy's forever home has yet to be decided upon but a working home is essential for the mental stimulation she will need.
Jamie will be doing competition obedience up north when he gets older, we look forward to hearing about his progress.
Dexter is going to a family in Cambridgeshire as an active pet who will be doing agility when he's old enough.

Milo now Paddy
Bob now Woody
Polo

Paddy has found his legs and runs everywhere. His number 1 sport is breaking out of the run but he always seeks someone out so hasn't quite got the idea of being sneeky. He loves to carry things around and could really do with a crash helmet.

Woody is such a sweetheart, his favourite place is in your arms having a cuddle. He's very laid back, loves his food and hasn't got a bad word to say to anyone. He never complains but will stick up for himself when the other pups get over excited.
Polo has decided that small is all powerful. He will not be bossed around by the bigger boys and will throw himself into the food if he's being pushed out. Oh, and he likes trouser legs at the moment (we are working on it, lol).

Emmy
Shadow now Jamie
Dexter

Emmy is just so adorable, she is into everything and only has one speed, which is at a full pelt charge. She has scaled the stairs, stalked the mop, picked the flowers and carries anything around that looks like its where it should be. She is not intimidated by her big brothers and will stick up for herself when they think they can push her out. She also loves to have a cuddle.
Shadow is a lucky lad as he was everyone's first choice for a black and white boy. He has a beautiful nature and just sits on the other pups when they are getting too much. He loves balls, big or little, and has a new cuddly sheep to add to his collection. Shadow is keeping his name (which is great cos I'm having trouble remembering who is who now lol!)
Oh Dexter, wot can we say? He's such an adorable boy but he's into everything, a typical roly poly puppy. He loves a cuddle and licks you to death if can get near enough. He's the happiest puppy of the bunch, just gets on with whatever is going on at the time. He's going to be great fun to have around. Oh and those eyes :-)) absolutely beautiful.

Milo still leads the way in all things. He's the first to escape, first to paddle in the drinking water and first to scale the heights of Buddy's bed. He plays with Buddy who must be at least 20 times his size but he isn't fazed by such a formidable opponent!
Bob still loves his cuddles and having a fuss. He's very laid back and takes his time over things but once he has the hang of it - watch out! Shredding newspaper is his prime activity of the moment!
Polo has grown in confidence over the last week, he won't put up with any nonsense from his siblings and can be seen tugging on any loose clothing that happens to come his way! He's a little mini Buddy; so Jackie, you'd better watch out!
Emmy has taken to carrying things around in her mouth; be it socks or kitchen towel she can always find something of interest. She also likes to pick flowers from the garden but Hubby doesn't know that yet!
Shadow should have been named after a gardener as he likes to investigate the jungle of shrubs in our garden. He is still the heaviest pup and laid back. He spends a lot of time on his back with his legs in the air too, very comical.
Well Dexter, the main thing about him is still the racket he makes. We are not giving in to him so Sarah and Family you will have your work cut out being assertive and not answering to his whining. He is lovely and very playful too and has learnt to pounce on unsuspecting victims!

Milo is definitely the leader of the pack, very forward and inquisitive he is always the first the try new things (including running which is hilarious considering he'd only been walking a couple of days!)
Bob is very affectionate and loves having cuddles, he is always the first to greet me when I come home. He is a hungry pup which why he is probably the second heaviest and always covered in food as he does love to paddle! He's a sensible boy and watches the other pups get into mischief!
Polo likes to be with someone, be it human or canine, he is definitely not a loner. He's quite noisy when he thinks its a good idea and is very confident. He was the first puppy to bark and fell over in surprise, however, now he has it down to a fine art - he sits down first!!
Emmy is a special girl. So affectionate and playful. Yet being the only bitch in the litter she hasn't let the boys boss her around. She loves cuddling up to Sunnie, which is ironic as they look so similar. Again, so confident, she is happy to join in anything the others get up to
Shadow is a gentle giant, being the heaviest but very unpresuming. He doesn't hurry to do anything, is very laid back and is happy for the others to get stuck in before he bothers. He does like to playfight though and is usually the first to start the rough and tumble.
Dexter is the noisest puppy we've ever had, he certainly loves the sound of his own voice, whether its a bark, yap or growl (very amusing). He's very inquisitive and its between him and Milo as to who is the first out of the pen when I open the door.
